December: A short cycling month
Winter started out as it should - with snow. And then came some sunny days. And some foggy days. And some rain. But I just had time to dip my big toe into winter. On December 10 we are flying to Bangkok. A visit to Cambodia to once again admire the magnificent temples of Angkor Wat and a short meander in Myanmar are planned - all without our bicycles I am sorry to say. But we have cycled in SE Asia more than once, we loved it, and we know that we are just a tad to old for that kind of adventure now.
I finished the year with 205 bicycle-picture days. I loved the challenge of getting out as often as possible with my camera - whether I felt like it or not. I often doubted when I left the house that I was going to find anything to take a picture of on the trails I had ridden so often. I seldom had a concept beforehand. And it was amazing to see how the same scenes were transformed by the time of day, season and weather, and I always did find something that inspired me to get out my camera.
