January - Winter at its best
We have had a warm January, that's my subjective opinion anyway. I haven't seen the meteorological statistics. Some days were below freezing but we frequently had sunny days. There was no snow to speak of and I could ride almost every day. That is until I got sick - again. I had another bad respiratory infection at the end of the month and didn't get on my bicycle for a whole week.
But I met my goal, a modest goal I guess, but all depending on what you are comparing it with. For me it was a realistic goal - I won't be setting any records for sure - and in spite of missing a week I managed to meet it. My goal is 250 km every month, more if we are touring. I cycled 312 km in January and got out on 20 days. I feel that's pretty good for a winter month.
