July: Definitely Summer
What to say about July? Another month here and gone. We got two overnight rides in, testing to see how fit are we this summer. Nothing sensational, but still fit to ride with paniers and sleep in guest house beds.
As we get older, the problem isn't necessarily the pedaling itself, it's all the little things that make up the day when on the road. Different rooms every night, packing and repacking every day and remembering where you put things, carrying the darned bags up and down stairs, eating food that you probably wouldn't include in your daily diet at home and for good reason... It all makes me feel like such a wuss, but it's the way I experience it. Can't wait til next year when I turn 80, that round number will help me feel my wimpiness is more justified. In the meantime, we are planning a tour over the Alps into Italy again this year.
Anyway, I documented 17 more days on my bike for the month of July, some rides were shorter, some longer.
Here they are.
