Rides in June

The rides in June started late and ended early. We had just returned from Metz and the rides along the Moselle at and I didn't get on my bike until June 4 and on June 25 I was in the hospital again for a cardiac ablation which meant no cycling for the rest of the month. But in the time in between I managed to ride every day.

We had lots of rain at the beginning of the month, and in between too, but usually I could find a dry window for a short ride. Once on the way to my taichi class I had to ride in the rain. Sometimes I even like riding in the rain.

I haven't been very conscientious about recording my kilometers this year, but I think it has been something like 2,150 km for the first half of 2024.

Surprise in the woods
Shady row of trees on the way to Hadorf
A favorite scene in the forest at Buchendorf
Lots of Queen Anne's lace on the roadside

Large branch broken off of the old weeping beech tree
Trying hard to find a motif today - on the way to Pasing
Boats houses on Lake Starnberg
Wayside poppies on the way to Frohnloh
Lots of wood piles, and Queen Anne's lace
Wheels, at Forstkasten beer garden
Crossing the Würm, Pasinger Stadtpark
Riding less traveled trails
The corn is coming along
Giant wood piles in Buchendorf
Flooded underpass, too deep and murky to ride through
Took the muddy path to Wangen and had to dismount here
Railroad tracks scene from the bridge at the golf course
Distance since I bought my bike, a Simplon, in June 2021. That's an average of 5,510 Km a year.
