June: Half time
First half of the year finished, another half to go... whichever way you look at it, the time is going fast, the days are already getting shorter...
The rest of Germany enjoyed better weather than Bavaria where we had the lowest average temperature and the fewest hours of sunshine, at 15.8 ° C and just under 190 hours respectively. It was also Bavaria's rainiest month in 30 years, with frequent thundershowers and some floods. Nevertheless, I only let the rain deter me from riding on one day when it really didn't let up even for an hour and we only got caught in the rain twice, but close enough to home that we could soon dry off. Out on your bike you also realize that sunny days aren't the only kind of "good" weather. We had beautiful cloud formations and truly refreshing cool and grey days which were great for riding.
The stats: I got out for a ride and picture on 29 out of 30 days and cycled a total of 757 km, 57 km more than last month.
