The month brought a lot more snow and cold weather than expected. Last year spoiled us with its mild days but this year the winter just seemed to hang on forever. I don't enjoy riding my bike in temperatures around freezing. However, walking in cold weather is no problem and since I now have my asthma under control, I also look forward to my walks. So I wasn't too unhappy with the weather - but who doesn't prefer sunshine?

I only rode my bike on days when it was actually nice enough to feel comfortable, no masochistic outings. Here are the 11 bicycle days in pictures. Janos usually accompanies me but sometimes he prefers to work on his own projects.

The remaining 20 days I walked, sometimes in snow and very often on muddy paths but little spring flowers were popping up, the birds were chirping and towards the end of the month the paths in the woods were dry. I might even start calling some of my walks hikes.
