October: A Season to Savor

It's been wonderful here in our new surroundings to experience the gradual change of seasons, from spring to summer, summer to autumn, and now autumn full-fledged with pumpkins for sale on the roadside, mushrooms to be found in the forest, bright foliage and the occasional fog. I again was able to get out every day on my bike - until I came down with bronchitis, which put an abrupt end to my bicycle rides and pictures for the month. However, I did manage to get in 27 rides, and while I write this I am again well and riding.
