Back in the saddle again: Through the villages
Friday June 14, 2013
I know I'm repeating myself, but again today we have fantastic weather. Janos has mapped out a little ride for us through the villages and to spice things up there is one steep descent on a dirt road down to the Sava and a hefty climb back out of the valley. I don't think he planned that. But it was fun.

Always beautiful views and very little traffic on the small roads. The villages along the way aren't exactly quaint as there has been much new construction in recent years it seems. The picturesque has given way to more comfortable living. I guess it's natural when taking pictures, to try to capture the mellowed structures with lots of texture and atmosphere and avoid the new buildings.
Our jaunt ends up with a picnic again at Lake Bled, and while Janos engages in some geocaching on the final stretch, I stalk the local fauna. Then shopping at the market on the way home. The rest of the day I spend trying to get caught up on this journal.
