Waiting out the rain: A day in the van

Yesterday afternoon after we got back, it started to rain and didn't stop all night. I love the soothing sound of rain on the roof, especialy if it isn't a tent roof. Actually, even in a tent I like the sound, just not the prospect that I might have to ride in the rain the next day.Today we don't have to ride our bicycles anywhere. It rains on and off and it's a good day to catch up on my journal, do some grocery shopping and chew the rag with our neighbors, a Swiss couple our age. Everyone is our age, at least so it seems. The campgrounds are filled with "best agers" out with their camping vehicles in the off-season.
