February Records
Here in Munich, February weather set records for being the driest, sunniest and warmest for decades - which encouraged me to get on my bike as frequently as possible, often for short rides, but rides they were. I rode on 17 days and chalked up 260 km, an improvement over last year when I only rode my bike once in February.
It wasn't all sunshine, we did have some snowy and icy days as well. But at the end of the month the mercury climbed to a cyclist friendly 15°C and we opened the touring season with a two-day tour to Scheyern, 50 km to the north of Munich. We had to pat ourselves on the back for our intrepid "winter" cycling. When we did this tour two years ago it was the end of March.
Here are the pictures, one from each day that I was on my bike.
