Home Again, Home Again: Innsbruck - Munich
Sunday June 3, 2007
In the morning my knee hasn't improved and it's obvious that we can't continue. Train connections from Innsbruck to Munich are frequent, the ride is short and we're home by noon, none too happy.

* EPILOG *
When we started out on our tour to the Mediterranean in the summer of 2006, I was full of doubts if we could do it. I worried about the heat, the mountains, the traffic, our stamina - none of which turned out to be a problem. I almost felt we were getting younger and not older.
And being thus encouraged at our ability to take on a long distance tour, we made even more ambitious plans for this year, full of confidence this time. Of course, knee problems can happen to you at any age, but ... they have temporarily put an end to this tour.
The journal is finished, the trip is on ice. I am hoping to write a sequel next summer.

By the end of the summer my knee had recovered and we could tour again. That tour is here. But we never did ride through Eastern Europe as planned.
