June Challenge of the Month - Trees
Bill's Challenge: "Take a photo of a tree or trees. Large or small; standing or fallen; leaves, palms, or bare; common or exotic. Include your bicycle in the photo. Optionally, include your smiling (or grumbly) face and/or companion(s). Share the photo, along with a note about the tree(s). Optionally, make this part of a post about a longer ride with more photos and more text. Repeat as often as desired throughout the month. Get going!"

My first tree of the month: I saw this photogenic tree motiv on our ride through Munich's English Garden. We are taking advantage of the beautiful weather by cycling to a beer garden for our picnic lunch as often as possible. Our ride to the Aumeister is 16 km round trip - a bit of exercise before and after our midday meal.

This tree is in our backyard. The tree itself is hardly visible as ivy has climbed up the trunk and to the branches. It might look romantic but the vine is probably doing more damage than good. Too bad, I would hate to lose another tree on the building's property. They create our tiny oasis here in the city.

We were up early on this sunny Sunday and after a breakfast in Cafe Münchner Freiheit, we rode through the English Garden with an eye out for photogenic trees. The English Garden has an old and venerable tree population, no dearth of subjects here.

Below are three views of the same tree.
