Visited and revisited many times since my husband and I purchased annual passes about a month ago. Munich's Botancial Garden never bores me, not only because the change of seasons brings different flowers, but also because the light, time of day and weather produce such different moods.
On this visit to the gardens I used my Canon 5d with the Tamron 90mm macro lens. Click images to view in full size. We've had so much rain this spring, but it hasn't been cold. The botanical garden hasn't been this lush for years, almost tropical, at least by German standards.
I haven't blogged for a long time ... and the longer you stop, the harder it is to start again. I have been taking pictures and going places, just not posting. There is no way I can fill the gap of six weeks (or more?), so I'll jump back in with a walk I took through Munich last week. That weekend there was a beer festival (not the Oktoberfest, no, no yet), a farmers market with Bavarian specialties, an outdoor flower exhibition, buskers playing Bavarian melodies - lots of Bavarian atmosphere altogether. I had my new (used from ebay) lightweight, mirrorless Sony with me, trying it out for longer walks and bicycle tours later in the summer. While traveling, my heavy Canon will have to stay at home.
